A warm and welcoming presence at school, Oluchi “is always there to encourage her peers and never hesitates to lend her time … or hugs,” said senior Cindy Hsu. A co-captain of the volleyball team, she also plays basketball, is a Link Crew leader and is involved with the Black Student Union. A member of Bellevue’s St. Louise Parish, she’s an altar server for school Masses.

Every year, Tristan rallies his fellow students to support different charities, including Courts for Kids and the Clark County Food Bank. With his brother Aidan, he recently raised $103,432 to start a music therapy program at the neonatal intensive care unit at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. A member of Vancouver’s St. John the Evangelist Parish, he also plays football and carries a 3.9 GPA.

In each edition through June, Northwest Catholic will honor students for their achievements and contributions in the classroom, in their extracurricular activities, and in their churches and communities. At the end of the school year, two Students of the Year will be selected to receive $1,000 Northwest Catholic scholarships.
