Archbishop J. Peter Sartain celebrated Mass for 275 second-graders from 10 Catholic schools, Friday, May 16, at Seattle’s Bishop Blanchet High School as part of the final stop of a nationwide bus tour celebrating Catholic education. The tour marked 20 years of the University of Notre Dame’s partnership with 65 dioceses through its Alliance for Catholic Education program. Each year, ACE places hundreds of teachers and leaders in Catholic schools throughout the country. During the visit, ACE leaders honored Archbishop Sartain with the University of Notre Dame Sorin Award in recognition of his commitment to support, sustain and transform Catholic schools, their students and their communities.
