65 Years

Father Sean Fox

Father Sean Fox, born February 12, 1928, in Pontoon, Foxford, County Mayo, Ireland, he was ordained June 21, 1953, at All Hallows College, Dublin. He served as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Battle Ground (1962-74), St. John the Evangelist Parish in Vancouver (1974-76) and St. Pius X Parish in Mountlake Terrace (1976-2013). He also served at St. James Cathedral in Seattle (1953-54), St. Edward Parish in Seattle (1954-58) and St. Mark Parish in Shoreline (1958-62).

Father Patrick Godley

Father Patrick Godley, born June 12, 1928, in Ballyheigue, Ireland, was ordained June 7, 1953, at St. Patrick College, Carlow. He served as pastor of St. Philip Parish in Woodland (1962-70), Holy Cross Parish in Tacoma (1970-78), Holy Family Parish in Auburn (1978-95) and St. Cecilia Parish on Bainbridge Island (1995-2000). He also served at St. James Cathedral in Seattle (1953-54) and St. Patrick Parish in Tacoma (1954-62).

Father Stephen Szeman

Father Stephen Szeman, born October 4, 1927, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, was ordained May 30, 1953, at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Worthington, Ohio. He served as pastor of St. Anthony Parish in Renton (1974-86), Sacred Heart Parish in Enumclaw (1986-87) and Mary, Queen of Peace Parish in Sammamish (1987-91). He also served at St. Anthony Parish in Renton (1953-57), Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Seattle (1957-61), St. Cabrini Hospital in Seattle (1961-74), Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Seattle and St. Brendan Parish in Bothell (1992) and as a member of the  Presbyteral Council (2003-05).

 

60 Years

Archbishop Emeritus Alexander Brunett

Archbishop Emeritus Alexander Brunett, born January 17, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, was ordained to the priesthood July 13, 1958, in Rome. He was ordained bishop of Helena, Montana, on July 6, 1994. He was installed as archbishop of Seattle on December 18, 1997, and served until his retirement on September 16, 2010. He served as apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Oakland, California, from 2012 to 2013.

Benedictine Father George Seidel

Benedictine Father George Seidel, born April 25, 1932, was ordained July 5, 1958. He resides at St. Martin’s Abbey, where he has served as organist and as a teacher at St. Martin’s University.

Father Jaime Tolang

Father Jaime Tolang, born April 14, 1927, in Hingatungan, Philippines, was ordained March 22, 1958, and was incardinated in the Archdiocese of Seattle June 17, 1988. He served at St. James Cathedral in Seattle (1972-75), in hospital ministry (1975-81), at Holy Rosary Parish in Seattle (1980), Immaculate Conception Parish in Seattle (1981-82, 1988-92 and 2000-01), St. Joseph Parish in Pe Ell (1982-85), St. Patrick Parish in Tacoma (1985-86), Christ the King Parish in Seattle (1986-87), with the Filipino community (1987-88) and at St. Edward Parish in Seattle (1987-88).

Father Marlin Connole

Father Marlin Connole, born March 28, 1942, in Conrad, Montana, was ordained May 18, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He served as pastor of St. Therese Parish in Seattle (1976-88), Sacred Heart Parish in Bellevue (1988-2000) and St. Bridget Parish in Seattle (2000-07). He also served at St. Patrick Parish in Seattle (1968-71), St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lakewood (1971-75) and St. Stephen the Martyr Parish in Renton (1975-76).

Father James Dalton

Father James Dalton, born April 11, 1942, in Seattle, was ordained May 18, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He served as pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Sedro-Woolley (1976-82), Holy Family Parish in Kirkland (1983-89 and 1990-97), St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood (1997-2005) and Immaculate Conception Parish in Arlington and St. John Vianney Mission in Darrington (2005-12). He also served at Holy Family Parish in Kirkland (1968-71), St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Everett (1971-74) and Holy Family Parish in Seattle (1974-76).

Father Gordon Douglas

Father Gordon Douglas, born September 5, 1942, in Seattle, was ordained May 18, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He served as chaplain of Bishop Blanchet High School in Seattle (1971-2007) and as pastor of St. John of the Woods Parish in Tacoma (1977-78) and St. Matthew Parish in Seattle (1992-95). He also served at St. Rose de Viterbo Parish in Longview (1968-71), St. Mary Parish in Aberdeen (1975), and St. Matthew Parish in Seattle (1991-2000).

Father Jan Larson

Father Jan Larson, born April 22, 1942, in Yakima, was ordained May 18, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He served as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Seattle (1977-86), St. Bernadette Parish in Seattle (1986-87), Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Snoqualmie (1992-2007), St. Anthony of Padua Mission in Carnation (1999-2007) and Holy Innocents Parish in Duvall (1999-2004). He also served at St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Everett (1968-71), Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Seattle (1971-74), Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Seattle (1974-77), as director of the Office of Worship (1987-92) and as a liturgical consultant (1992-2006).

Father Seamus Laverty

Father Seamus Laverty, born January 8, 1945, in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland, was ordained June 7, 1968, for the Diocese of Dromore, and was incardinated in the Archdiocese of Seattle on December 1, 1980. He served as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Everett (1982-90), St. Joseph Parish Chehalis (1990-95), St. Mary Parish in Centralia (1994-95) and St. Patrick Parish in Tacoma (1995-2015). He also served at St. John Bosco Parish in Lakewood (1976-78), Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Bremerton (1978-81) and St. Anthony Parish in Renton (1981-82).

Jesuit Father David Leigh

Jesuit Father David Leigh, born April 16, 1937, was ordained June 15, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He is in residence at the Arrupe Jesuit Community in Seattle.

Father Paul Magnano

Father Paul Magnano, born May 5, 1942, in Seattle, was ordained December 21, 1967, in Rome. He retires as pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish in Seattle, where he has served since 2009, on June 30. He has served as pastor of St. Charles Parish in Burlington, Immaculate Conception Parish in Mount Vernon and Sacred Heart Parish in La Conner (1992-98); and St. Therese Parish in Seattle (1998-2003). He also served at St. Mary Parish in Marysville (1968-70); as chaplain at Western Washington University (1970-75); at St. Matthew Parish in Seattle (1982-88); Skagit Valley Ministry (1988-91); Immaculate Conception in Mount Vernon (1991-92); as priest personnel director (1994-99), vicar general (1998) and vicar for clergy (1999-2010); at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Seattle (1999-2009); Christ the King Parish in Seattle (1999-2007); Assumption Parish in Seattle (1999-2000); St. Matthew Parish in Seattle (1999-2001 and 2005-06); St. Mary and Our Lady of Good Help and Sts. Father John Renggli

Father John Renggli, born March 26, 1942, in Tacoma, was ordained May 18, 1968, at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He served as pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Everett (1978-84), St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood (1984-97), St. Madeleine Sophie Parish in Bellevue (1997-2000), Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish in Tacoma (2000-09) and Holy Cross Parish in Tacoma (2009-16). He also served at St. Anne Parish in Seattle (1968-72), St. Pius X Parish in Mountlake Terrace (1972-74) and Holy Disciples Parish in Puyallup and Our Lady of Good Counsel Mission in Eatonville (2003-04).

Redemptorist Father Binh Ta

Redemptorist Father Binh Ta, born December 21, 1963, in Vietnam, was ordained September 4, 1993, in Houston, Texas. He served as pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Seattle (2001-17).

Father Dick Ward

Father Dick Ward, born August 7, 1925, in Seattle, was ordained June 12, 1993. He served as pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Lake Stevens and St. Michael Parish in Snohomish (1999-2003). He also served at St. James Cathedral in Seattle (1993-1999), St. Martin of Tours Parish in Fife (2003-04) and as a member of the Presbyteral Council (2006-07).
