Sandra Hart, a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, died June 30, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She was 73.

Born in Vancouver, Washington, she was raised in Port Angeles, and attended Port Angeles High School and Peninsula College. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, cooking, family time and travel.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry; son, Daniel; daughter, Michelle; sister, Judith; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 12 at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Peter Michael ChudeckeKIRKLAND

Peter Chudecke, a member of St. John Vianney Parish, died July 7. He was 90.

Born in Superior, Wisconsin, he enlisted in the Navy; following his honorable discharge at 19, flew with his brother Joe in a private plane from Superior to Seattle, where he lived for the rest of his life. He spent 25 years with the Seattle Fire Department, then retired to pursue a second career in real estate.

He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family in the mountains and on the water.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rita; sons, Michael and Mark; daughters, Debbie and Carol; sister, Clarice; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral Mass was celebrated July 14 at St. John Vianney Church.
