The Holy Father invited us to rediscover faith this year. I think that faith can be described as “the personal response to the experience of being found by someone who loves me.” When any one of us feels loved, we trust completely the person we are loved by because we know that person desires only our wellbeing and happiness.

God as loving Father and Creator always wants the best for us, his children. For that reason he sent Jesus to show us the indestructible power of faith.

Jesus, who experienced being loved by his Father, knew that all things were possible if he trusted in Him and for that reason he was able to destroy the evil one in all his manifestations including death.

Jesus invites us to trust in his love just as he trusted in his Father. That way we may also experience his indestructible power, achieving always the best so that each one of us may be faithful to Him and as a consequence, be happy.

Today we believe that we can have a more just society where we can live together as brothers and sisters, bringing down the walls of hate, racism, avarice and inequality. We believe that with his loving presence we can build new forms of dignity and respect for every human being from the moment of conception until death. Everything is possible for he who believes. That is the faith that Jesus has in each one of us. That is why he demonstrated unconditional love for us, so that we may also respond with the same loving freedom.

This way we will always live in awe knowing that “nothing is impossible for those who believe.”
