Patty Bernard
FEDERAL WAY
Patricia Ann Bernard passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 30 after a long battle with cancer. She was 77.
She was born in Seattle in 1942 to Lucile and John Walsh. She graduated from the Seattle University School of Nursing with a bachelor’s degree. She married Gary in 1964. They spent four years in Boston and then 21 years in Connecticut raising their four children. In 1989 they moved back to the Seattle area. She was known for her love of family and friends, her incredible pies, her beautiful quilts, her love of games, her strength and strong will. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Paul; daughters, Lucy, Joann and Susan; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on July 5 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Federal Way.
