“But wait, there’s more!”

You’ve heard it before. The infomercial pitchman describes the latest innovation you simply can’t live without … but wait, there’s more!

After more than two years of publishing, many of our readers have told us how much they like the local stories, commentary and photos in Northwest Catholic. You’ve also told us you want the faith profiles, Archbishop Sartain’s column and all the bonus audio and video content on your mobile devices.

We heard you, and this month we launched the Northwest Catholic app. You can now download it for Apple or Android.

We like to remind readers that Northwest Catholic is much more than a magazine: It’s a multiplatform, multimedia initiative in the new evangelization. We’re glad you like the magazine, but there’s so much more.

The best source for news about the local church can be found online at NWCatholic.org. We also report news affecting all Catholics and local Catholic faith communities as it happens on Facebook and Twitter. Our Instagram account includes inspiring quotes, Throwback Thursday images, and the best news and feature photos from the magazine and website.

If you aren’t receiving the Northwest Catholic Journal in your email, our app is the easiest way to sign up. Receiving the journal is the best way to stay connected to everything happening in the local church. Just in time for Lent, the app allows you to connect on your phone or tablet to the Catholic Directory for Mass, reconciliation and eucharistic adoration times at any parish in the Archdiocese of Seattle.

The new Northwest Catholic app is your mobile source for all of this … but wait, there really is more. In fact, there’s a button on the app labeled “More,” with magazine archives, calendar of events, common prayers, the order of the Mass and daily readings.

Northwest Catholic’s app is part of an ongoing investment to engage Catholic people in the new evangelization. We hope you’ll download it, because Northwest Catholic really is more than just a magazine.
